Animals Oddities
Animals Oddities
Animal oddities, similar to medical oddities, are unusual occasions in the sphere of wildlife which animals scientists find eccentric, peculiar, and extraordinary. Analogous to medical oddities' focus on the human body, animal oddities are collections of events related to unusual physical and behavioral characteristics exhibited by animals, like deformations, too big or too little organs, lack or excess in body parts, and inclination to perform unusual things. Animal oddities are man's reminder of how nature works in and presides over different life systems, and how, sometimes, it randomly commits mistakes and give us a source of fun, curiosity, and laughter.
In human interest news, many features are concerned with animals looking or behaving incongruously. It is not new when we hear a chicken with four legs, a rabbit with five ears, a dog with two tails, a calf with one eye. It is also not new when we hear made-up love stories of a cat and a hen, a dog breastfeeding five kittens, a pig that saved the house from fire, and many other outlandish things that animal do. These animal oddities, even if some cases have been reported many times, continue to serve as a source of light humor to us, informing us that nature can randomly do something very extraordinary just to make fun of itself, to defy the monotonous cycles of life that it is supposed to keep.
Aside from this, most animal oddities that we really like are those idiosyncratic behaviors that emphasize that these animals think and feel like humans do. Our fascination for animals are rooted from their inability to communicate with us, and seeing animals displaying a behavior similar to humans is a very interesting event that somehow opens the barrier between man and wildlife.
